1.2767 is a high-nickel alloy tool steel renowned for its exceptional toughness, wear resistance, and thermal stability. With a composition of 0.40-0.50% carbon, 3.80-4.30% nickel, and 1.20-1.50% chromium, it achieves a hardness of 52-54 HRC after heat treatment. Its uniform microstructure and deep hardenability make it ideal for large-section tools like plastic injection molds, forging dies, and aerospace components. 


1.2767 steel has the following properties: good abrasion resistance, high toughness, high hardness, high compressive strength and dimensional stability and has good corrosion resistance effect, polishing and cutting performance is also very excellent, it is very easy to achieve a mirror effect. It has excellent hardenability and can be hardened by air cooling, and has excellent machining performance.

  • Annealing: 660-680°C for 6-8 hours, hardness ≤260 HB.

  • Quenching: Oil or air cool from 830-860°C.

  • Tempering: 100-600°C for stress relief and hardness adjustment (52-54 HRC). Double tempering recommended for dimensional stability
