5. DIN 1.2713 Tool Steel Heat Treatment
Annealing: Heat to 850-870°C, slow cool to ≤500°C. Final hardness: ≤241 HB.
Quenching: Oil quench from 830-860°C to achieve 52-56 HRC.
Tempering: Temper at 200-250°C or 430-470°C. Double tempering recommended for stress relief.
